More Flicks For You

to see if you haven't already:

the Last King of Scotland, which was flippin' intense
and insanely good. Craig and I had both been wanting
to see this for a while and I'm gad we did.



And the other flick we started (it's 3 1/2 hrs.) was:
Bloodied but Unbowed: Bloodshot Records Life in the Trenches
which was also very entertaining as it has a ton
of my fave artists like Ryan Adams, Neko Case and
Old 97's. Check this one out if you like you some music.

All This Nice Weather

has gotten me in the mood to be outdoors, so
instead of actually riding my loverly bike,
here's a little sketch I did w/ oil pastels:

El Rey & Golden West

Were on fire this morning and it
doesn't look good. Holy shit, can you
believe it? I loved the El Rey &
Golden West and have been there 1,000
or more for karaoke, Breaker 1-9, Icky
and the Yuks,countless other shows and just
hanging out with good friends. The
Launchpad is also reporting damage,
apparently not nearly as bad as the
other 2 other venues (THANK GOD!), but
still incredibly sad for music lovers in
Albuquerque.

STUFF I LIKE and/or LOVE

there's not a lot going on around
here today, aside from work, so I'm
going to list stuff I like... exciting!

1. Grilled cheese sandwiches... I'd choke
a ho for one right.now.



2. Cat Power's new album Jukebox.

4. When Craig and I are so sleepy, we stay in bed
for as looong as possible.

5. Wednesdays when America's Next Top Model is
on and I get to sit on my ass for an hour straight.

I'm sure there's more... I should probably work a little?

Weekend Recap

I had a good time with the girls on Friday night... I love
talking shit and laughing and taking deer in headlights
photos.

Saturday, lots of layin' around... just how I like it. Craig
made us some delicious fried chicken, taters and veggies,
then we (craig, angus, me and bombs) watched a super
hilarious new Saturday Night Live with our girl Tina Fey.
Then, later in bed, after discussing politics and our world,
Craig and I made out like teenagers, dry humping and all...
it was AWESOME. You should try it (again), I highly, highly
recommend it.

Sunday, after sleeping in, the 3 of us had some eggs, bacon
and toast and hit the mall (uugghh, i hate the mall!) to get
Sweets some badly needed new jeans(he got the levi's 514's
and they make his ass look yum!). We had some lunch over
at the new Top Dog ( sauerkraut and spicy mustard for me)
and drove over to Central to take pics of this for Angus's Blog:


For dinner, we're having leftover chicken and this soup and
here are some shots of me making said soup:

are playing some sort of video game, I'm also watching
the Oscars and diggin'on these people, 'cause they're

A long week, cramps, and a boyfriend who doesn't

It's Friday, Yo!

It's been a long week and I'm happy it's the weekend!

Last night was nice... Craig and I watched a few movies,
Gone Baby Gone, which I highly recommend, and
Resident Evil:Extinction which was also pretty
entertaining, while having some Japanese take out.
It was a really mellow night of sitting around with
my baby and it was awesome!

Some Good Stuff

Monday is bleh, here's a rundown of my weekend:

Watched Once on Friday night with my sweetie and
we both enjoyed it. The music was incredible and I was
even a cryer on certain parts because it was filled with
so much emotion. Anyhow, thanks to Ali for the great
recommendation!


Had a brisket that slow-cooked overnight for dinner on
Saturday night and was mighty pleased with myself.

Got these sexy ass boots at a ridiculously low price!

Cried inside for having to get out of bed this morning... not really.

I'll be picking up a Dion's pizza on the way home and eat it
while wearing my pajamas and new boots!

You Don't Eat Meats? That's Okay, I Make Lamb.

I love me some meats.

I'm making this brisket for the familia tomorrow,
so I'll start marinating the beef tonight. Craig made
one using the same recipe but added a can of Dr. Pepper
(like his grandma used to do!) and I'll do the same. We'll
probably have some mashers and a veg with this... can't wait!

Anyhow, not a lot to report this week so far...

Got my vote on yesterday before the lines got crazy.

Had some Frontier (grilled cheese and western hash-
browns!) for dinner with my favorite baby head.

Watched Planet Terror after dinner.

Got into bed early with the intentions of watching
a little telly, but fell asleep right away.

Today, while on the way to work, I listened to this:

Boy, do I love Fridays!

Here are a few things I'm looking forward to:

1. 'Weeds' tonight... I am in love with almost
all of the crazy characters.

2. Sleeping in... the sweet pug has kept me
up the last few nights with his human-like
snores and need to sleep between my legs,
as though I'm giving birth to him.

3. Develop my current roll of film on my
Holga, as I think/feel/hope there some
pretty good shots.

4. Although I don't really watch football,
I will endure the game to see Tom Brady
all sweaty and hot.

5. Along with the other superbowl goodies
like hotwings, hotdogs ( i LOVE hotdogs!)
and chile con carne, I will be making
homemade mac + cheese and I can't wait!
