Oatmeal Crispies

The Pioneer Woman Cooks.

another treat to add to my 'Baking To Do' list!

What's For Dinner?

for us, we're having an Indian feast, thanks
to Ta Lin Market and the delicious
frozen creations they offer. We'll be having
Aloo Matar(spicy veg dish with peas and
potaotes, i'm adding chicken), Samosas
(pastry with potatoes and spiced veg),
garlic naan and rice. A lot tastier than
fast food and oh so yummy in my tummy.

Craig and I rotate on making dinner, so I
need to prepare this in time for the finale
on Big Brother 8 tonight.

La Bamba

is one of the best movies...ever.

Craig and I have always been fans, even
before we got together and we've been known
to "run our (la bamba) lines" for anyone who
will listen. We like to share the roles, so
sometimes I'm Bob or Ritchie, sometimes Craig
is Connie or Connie jr. ("is this where we're
gonna live? it's like a castle!"). Either way,
we've seen this movie about 1,000 times or so
and we BOTH shed tears at the end...everytime.
Watch as soon as possible if you haven't already!
You'll be glad you did!

"No, not my Ritchie!"

"It could've been worse, you could've been
Ricky Zuela!"

"RRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIITTTTTTTCCCCCCCHHHHHHIIIIIEEEEE!"

Factory Girl

So, the factory girl she listens
For the sound of her daddys engine
Till the work bell sounds and she leaves town

Oh, the summers here are hot
All she seems to do is work and sleep
I wish that she was still with you

Now you dont know where she is
Lying in her mothers bed
Or who shes sleeping with.

Oh, the kids will laugh at her
Cause she seems so sweet and pure
Oh, I took this shift because of her.

Oh, Ive never said a word
I once smiled and looked at her
Till the shift-boss said get back to work.

Now you dont know where she is
Or whos bed shes sleepin in
Or what man shes sleeping with.

Classic Film Night

Who loves classic films? Why not enjoy
them, under the stars, on the city's dime?

Well, thanks to the city of Albuquerque, you
can now enjoy a handful of films at Civic Plaza
every Friday evening in the next few weeks for free!

I'd like to take the boys, maybe Bombay?, to see a favorite, To Kill A Mockingbird in a few weeks...maybe I'll see you
and your picnic there?!

How I Love

homemade popcorn with real butter and salt.

FLASHBACK!!!

When I was a kid, I LOVED this movie and
desperately wanted to be an astronaut.
My, how dreams change.

Space Camp!

It's a great adventure flick for those of
you with youngens, or just young at heart.
