I love Saturday afternoons...

Craig and I had a lovely lunch at Marble Brewery
on Saturday afternoon. We picked up some tasty
sandwiches from DG's Deli, sat on the patio and
enjoyed a sunny November day. It was awesome.

Good Times

Craig and I were able to "go out" last weekend.
We took the bus down town, visited with some
old friends, and cabbed it back home. It was
a good time, indeed!

This is our good friend Gary Wayne!

Happy New Year... like 2 weeks late!

Glad it's over... you?

We had a busy few weeks there for a while...

Finalgled our annual holiday family photo:

It was a trial because we had a loner camera (sadly, mine
was broken when I dropped it RIGHT on the lens) and had
to wrangle the chickens AND Bombay... we did it... yes we did.

We  got a new family member,Lola... very sweet
and lots of energy. We got super lucky with her!

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday season!

Here's a favorite scene perfectly
reenacted by the Crusty Jugglers
(the name of our night-time bike riding gang).

ENJOY!

it's Friday...oh yeah!

I get to go on a date tonight... lucky me!
Is it really a date if I choose the date, place
and time? I say IT IS! Anytime I get to spend
quality ADULT time with my lover is fun to me.
We, like (probably) everyone, have gone through
rough patches, and most likely will again in
our future, but we are both working hard at
our relationship and will continue to do so.
We've been together for like 8 years or something!

DAAAAANG!

Hello, Hello!

I got home from my work trip to Oahu
on Sunday and headed to the Frontier
so I could stuff my face with this:
I know.
Then later that evening I had Thai food
with the boys and was in a state of euphoria.
The next morning, I saw God.

ANYHOO...
I can't sleep on red-eyes because my ass
goes numb and that's a very uncomfortable
way to sleep, so I watched the in-flight flick,
Ghost Town, with the Office creator/genius,Ricky Gervais.
Check it out... although it's very predictable,
it's cute and witty. And Kristen Wiig's also in it.

I had a great time on my work trip.
I ate a lot (as always), worked, sang
@ Karaoke, saw sweet dolphins up close,
witnessed locals gutting fresh fish(2 diff
occasions!),took pictures like a tourist
and enjoyed the time away from the office.
It always helps when I get to travel with
a really nice girl who, although not nearly
as...bitchy(??) as I, can always join in on
the eye-rolling and shit talking that is,
lets face it, inevitable. Here are some pics
from the short week away:
the best shrimp truck on the island...
i ate ALL that shrimp and loved it.

...cute dolphin and beautiful Diamond Head...

... cook your own steak...
while enjoying one of the best. songs. ever.

then rock the house with a classic, "You Ain't Woman Enough".

me being tourist-y.

more later, gotta eat some Onion Soup.

also, one of our chickens, Hazel, is laying
mad amounts of eggs, 4 days in a row, but
that's a whole other post... stay tuned, chickenheads!

Yay for USA!

So proud!

Good job to all who got out
to vote and volunteer, we
did it! And can I just say how
much I ADMIRE Michelle Obama?!
She is so strong, smart, beautiful
and inspiring, it's crazy! And
the girls? HE-LLO... ADORABLE!

Wednesday...ho hum.

Gosh, I feel like it's been forever since I've
gotten my blog on.

I did have a great weekend though.

Saturday after breakfast at Mary + Tito's we watched
a few episodes of John Adams and frickin' loved it! It
was so awesome to see parts of history that we all read
about portrayed on the telly. And Abigail Adams? She
seemed like one smart and supportive lady/wife/mama.
Loved her.

We also watched more of the Wire and I'm
looking forward to more this evening... yay!
I'm hooked. Big time.

The 3 of us went out on Sunday and watched one the
best movies I've seen in a long time, the Dark Knight.
I didn't get up to pee once.... that's how amazing it was.
And the boys aren't bad to look at either. Not bad at all.
Go see it. Now.

OH! We also got to see the trailer for Watchmen
and my sweet lover nearly lost his shit. He can't wait!

Not a lot on Monday... had some cheeseburgers
for dinner. I love cheeseburger night!

Same for Tuesday, it was bleh.

Today I listened and sang along to Elvis Costello while
driving to trabajo. I had a peanut butter sandwich on
wheat and a delicious banana for breakfast. I really feel
like having a mountain of nachos for lunch, but, alas, they
are too messy to eat at my desk. Maybe for dinner if I'm
a good girl?

Now I'm here at work perusing my fave guilty pleasure
sites like this one and laughing my ass off. Check it out.

I'm also getting inspired by How About Orange and a
lot of the cute and crafty items she makes. Super fun!

I really should be working...

Can You Believe It?

It's been a long week and I thought Friday would
never come... but it's here! Finally! Woo-hoo!

It all started with the trip to the lady doctor...
that's always fun. Luckily all of my parts are
in order, I'm happy for that.

Then, I knew I was getting my period when I got
home on Tuesday afternoon and stood over the
kitchen sink eating cold, leftover steak... with
ketchup. I was ravenous, I tell you.

Later that evening we watched In the Valley of Elah
and it was good but depressing. Some of it was
filmed in our neighborhood and there are lots of
shots of familiar places in Abq., that's always fun.
But, geez, talk about sad.

Last night we watched the Celtics beat the Lakers.
It wasn't by much, but it was a great game. There
are a handful of televised sports that I can stand,
basketball is definitely one of them. It could be
all of the cute boys running around.

This weekend we're (hopefully!) going to get some
chickens... the coop is almost done! Craig has been
working hard and it's very exciting to know that we'll
soon be living with and raising some chickens.

What are your plans for the weekend? Holla.

Happy Monday!

well it is for me... i have the day off, yay!

not much going on, took some photos yesterday:

TTV Style, mixed in w/ a little photoshop help.

I like them... even the last one which had such
great potential. The turn out was less than perfect.
But, it's mine and I like it.
