Yay! I was super excited when this arrived at our house
yesterday afternoon... all for me!



I guess I've been a good girl because my Sweets
bought this awesome KitchenAid Stand Mixer for
me! And I thought I was having a hard time keeping
the pounds off before... imagine now!

If you're in the 'Burque this weekend, Calexico
is playing a free show at UNM's Johnson Field,
which is walking distance from our house. So
excited, these guys are great!

The last time I saw them was at the Launchpad about
5 years ago. AND, Joey Burns and John Convertino
are ALSO opening for Neko in May! Yay!

it's Friday...oh yeah!

I get to go on a date tonight... lucky me!
Is it really a date if I choose the date, place
and time? I say IT IS! Anytime I get to spend
quality ADULT time with my lover is fun to me.
We, like (probably) everyone, have gone through
rough patches, and most likely will again in
our future, but we are both working hard at
our relationship and will continue to do so.
We've been together for like 8 years or something!

anyhoo...

i usually don't like getting outta bed
to start the work week, not sure anyone
does, but today wasn't so bad. i think
knowing that i get a whole day off on
thursday (with pay!) to cook and eat,
eat and cook helps. yes, a whole day.

i really enjoy waking up to feed the
chickens, also known as 'the girls'...
they are so weird. anyhow, they wake up
early and want to eat... a lot. they like
to talk and peck and run about all nimbly
bimbly. they sure are cute. and weird.

oh, and still no eggs.

also, i had posole for lunch today... yum.

hi kids, hope you're all well!

as always, i love the weekends...
so much to do and it's almost
already the end of the month which
means Halloween and soon after that,
Dia De Los Muertos... which translates
into lots of fun and activities. we plan
on going to a parade in the valley and
i'm going to take lots of pics with my
loverly holga camera! it's been too long...

this weekend i am going to make sugar skulls
and i'm pretty damn excited! mine won't be
edible though because i got all sorts of beads
and rhinestones and shit to decorate them.
AND they're way to sweet to eat anyway. i'll
post pics later next week.

another AWESOME thing we're doing is
attending a rally for barack obama and i am
thrilled. odds are it'll be super packed and
barack will be the size of an ant... i don't
care, i wouldn't miss it for anything!

well, i should get back to work and
to playing scramble (a word game/time
killer) on facebook.

i also purchased some(NEW!)old
school tube socks, they're so fly.

a few fun things coming up are:

pugtoberfest 2008... bombs doesn't
have a costume yet, he may just wear
these. and a white t-shirt if i can find one.

a fun bachelorette party for kelli and a
fun wedding soon after.

i'm happy it's wednesday for a
few reasons...the weekend is almost
here and it's also the makeover
show on america's next top model.
you know silly shit makes me happy
and i love it even more when one
or more of the girls flip the f*cK
out over their new look! hiLARious
and always a good time.

speaking of good times, i went to
see jenny lewis on monday night
and she was amazing! i went with
a lovely gal named Erin and we
had a great time! i took a few (not bad)
photos of lil' jenny, i'll post them
later and peed like 1,000 times...
as always. i have a small bladder,
what can you do? i also got to hear
my favorite song, yay me! have a
happy wednesday, yo!

Whew. I sure am happy it's the weekend!


Craig and I are having a loverly little
date night this evening and I'm so looking
forward to it. Not sure what we're doing,
don't really care, just excited to spend
an entire evening together! Naughtiness
is inevitable.

Tomorrow we are going to a mantanza at a
friend of Craig's and we're both really excited!
I've been to luau's before so I know they're
very similar, just super happy to be going to
a party designated to eating a slaughtered pig!
I'll be sure to post some pics if possible!

Last night Craig and I watched about 4 hours of
one of our favorite shows, 30 Rock and we laughed
our asses off! It's hard to decide which character I like
best, but for nown I'm definitely choosing Liz Lemon...
and Kenneth.

This evening I'm hanging out with the girls...Amanda
and Erica, and probably some other gals. Not sure
what we're going to do, but I can' wait to catch up!

I'm also very excited because Craig is going to help
me clear out the area of our house, the sun room, so
I can have a spot to do crafty things I like so much...
I hope to do something like this.It's an open area by
our kitchen on the way to the back yard so it's not
secluded, but it has great lighting and I can look
outside while I'm getting my craftiness on. Word.
