I love Saturday afternoons...

Craig and I had a lovely lunch at Marble Brewery
on Saturday afternoon. We picked up some tasty
sandwiches from DG's Deli, sat on the patio and
enjoyed a sunny November day. It was awesome.

Fair Day!

as some of you may know, i love going
to the state fair. and i looove eating. this
year was no different. and here's what you
get when you squeeze 3 people into a photo-
booth who just ate their asses off:

We're gonna party like - it's your birthday, we're gonna sip Bacardi - like it's your birthday... and we don't give a F*$% 'cause it's your birthday!

so, guess who had a birthday this weekend?!
that's right, mama turned the big (?) 34 on saturday.



i got this awesome food processor, among a few
other thoughtful gifts... i used it to make these :

instead of ice cream, i made frangelico cream filling.
the pics may be a bit blurry on account of all the
winez i had whilst preparing the dessert...that'll happen.

Been eating...

that's what we've been doing.

and I must say, it's one of my most favorite
things to do. Take a mo' and visit me at
hungry, are you? for some serious drooling time.

Good Times

Craig and I were able to "go out" last weekend.
We took the bus down town, visited with some
old friends, and cabbed it back home. It was
a good time, indeed!

the Road

is the book I'm currently
reading and it's amazing.
I've been getting through it
as quickly as possible... I
NEED to know how it ends.

The movie version is coming out
soon... I think it's going to be good...
in the sense of casting. Alright, alright ~
I like Viggo Mortenson... who doesn't?

my trusty camera, that is.

i dropped it and the lens is not
working at all, totally my fault.

IT SUUUUCKS!!!

oh well. i guess this means
i get to get a new one...

I can haz Mixer?

Yay! I was super excited when this arrived at our house
yesterday afternoon... all for me!



I guess I've been a good girl because my Sweets
bought this awesome KitchenAid Stand Mixer for
me! And I thought I was having a hard time keeping
the pounds off before... imagine now!

Right On, it's finally fixed!

We finally got our sewing machine serviced
and it's working... woo-hoo! Picking it up in
a few hours, stay tuned for 1st time projects**
such as: APRONS, APRONS, APRONS!
And maybe some totes, too!




**NOT sure about pegged pants, though.

Funny People

Last night was date night and we decided
to go old school...to the movies to see
Funny People. Although it was indeed funny,
there are some serious undertones that deal
with love, death, infidelity, and friendship.

Anyone who enjoys Judd Apatow + his crew
will definitely enjoy this film as well.

Long week for me...

I had a weird sickness on Tuesday and
Wednesday, achiness and sinus stuff.
No fun at all! Luckily, I had sweet Craig
to take care of me and keep me pumped
up on...children's aspirin!!!
Aside from sounding a little like a
mouth breather, I'm much better.

i'm down with the sickness...

i learned to ride the lambretta this weekend...
i had no idea it would be so exciting and liberating!

work has been extremely busy the past
2 weeks. people? they're nuts!

i saw calexico this weekend.
they were great~ there was a pinata.
i have some pics, i'll post them later.

oh, i've been watching a lot of twin peaks
lately. i was never really into it when it was
popular in the 90's... i was probably too busy
with the New Kids or something else equally
lame. anyhoo, i'm really digging it, there are
so many weird, freaky, wild, bat-shit crazy
characters~ i love it. i'm up to season 2 as of
tonight. good stuff.

Calexico... free show!

If you're in the 'Burque this weekend, Calexico
is playing a free show at UNM's Johnson Field,
which is walking distance from our house. So
excited, these guys are great!

The last time I saw them was at the Launchpad about
5 years ago. AND, Joey Burns and John Convertino
are ALSO opening for Neko in May! Yay!

it's Friday...oh yeah!

I get to go on a date tonight... lucky me!
Is it really a date if I choose the date, place
and time? I say IT IS! Anytime I get to spend
quality ADULT time with my lover is fun to me.
We, like (probably) everyone, have gone through
rough patches, and most likely will again in
our future, but we are both working hard at
our relationship and will continue to do so.
We've been together for like 8 years or something!

we watched it this weekend. I was a bit skeptical
at first, but after a few one liners like the title post,
I was all over it. And a young Bruce Campbell.
