If You're Driving in Your Car and You Can't Get Very Far...

you know the rest... Fiahreea! fire, ow.
Anyhow, I made the hottest Green Chile Stew that there
ever was yesterday and my belly is on fire today... TMI?
sorry. But, thanks to my mom for the hotness. And, Lyd,
it was sooo hot, you would've loved it!

I made the yummiest dessert last night, this, and
it rocked.

The other night we saw Into the Wild and you
should see it too. Not only is it very compelling, but
the main character is played by Emile Hirsch, a
favorite of mine. Please watch this movie.

This evening is the return of some favorites, 30 Rock
and of course, the Office... WOO-HOO!

Pam is the best!

Right now, I am starving.

This One's For The Children...

is a song from New Kids On The Block's Christmas Album...
from the 80's. I'm sure all you ex-lovers of NKOTB have heard
the hiARious news that our favorite Bean-Towners are making
their comeback... lovin' it! As an awkward mid-schooler, (horrible
photos coming soon!) I loved me some New Kids. I was sure I was
going to marry Donnie Wahlberg one day... I just knew it.

Anyhow, needless to say, that didn't pan out, so I'll just
Hang Tough for the next few days and wait to see
if they are as awesomely bad as before!

** Who was your favorite New Kid?

Busy

crazy busy weekend so far...

Friday night, Craig and I watched
No Country For Old Men and,
omg, it was in-fucking-tense! Great
story, beautiful scenery (NM is gorgeous!)
and fabulous actors made for a very
entertaining flick. And any ladies-
or men, interested in seeing Javier
Bardem in the buff, email me and I'll
forward you the link. I could just link
it now, but then that'd make me
a little tart, now wouldn't it?

Saturday, Craig and Joffe started working
on our infamously un-finished bathroom and
I made enchiladas like nobody's business. I
made a red casserole with beef and onions and
a green casserole with chicken and cheese. The
green is my sister Lyd's recipe and it was a
huge hit here @ our place... thanks, Lyd!
Cheese and onions for days, yo.

and beans, of course.

Here's a pretty shot:

and a few cute ones:

now, I gotta go hold Bombay, the wind
frightens him.

Weekend Recap

I had a good time with the girls on Friday night... I love
talking shit and laughing and taking deer in headlights
photos.

Saturday, lots of layin' around... just how I like it. Craig
made us some delicious fried chicken, taters and veggies,
then we (craig, angus, me and bombs) watched a super
hilarious new Saturday Night Live with our girl Tina Fey.
Then, later in bed, after discussing politics and our world,
Craig and I made out like teenagers, dry humping and all...
it was AWESOME. You should try it (again), I highly, highly
recommend it.

Sunday, after sleeping in, the 3 of us had some eggs, bacon
and toast and hit the mall (uugghh, i hate the mall!) to get
Sweets some badly needed new jeans(he got the levi's 514's
and they make his ass look yum!). We had some lunch over
at the new Top Dog ( sauerkraut and spicy mustard for me)
and drove over to Central to take pics of this for Angus's Blog:

For dinner, we're having leftover chicken and this soup and
here are some shots of me making said soup:
yummy onions...

make me cry.

the almost finished product:

And now, while the soup is simmering and the boys
are playing some sort of video game, I'm also watching
the Oscars and diggin'on these people, 'cause they're
oh, so cool:

(photos of the celebs are obviously not mine)

And, of course, lots of this guy:

Hooray, Hooray!

a much deserved night out with the gals!

Happy Friday to all yous!

A New Addiction

I know I'm behind on this one but,

my NEW new favorite show now is WEEDS.
Not only does Mary Louise Parker look smokin' hot...
her character, Nancy, is so likable and funny! There
are a number of other very likable characters like her
10 yr old son, Shane and her drug dealer, Heylia who likes
to tease Nancy and give her a hard time. Of course, there
are characters that are not so likable at first, like
Elizabeth Perkins' portrayal of Celia... the bitch.
And the jerky brother in law, Andy, that shows up
unannounced and gives Nancy grief about her 'business'.

We're only on the 1st season, so looking forward to the next!

America's Next Top Model

Dirty Sexy Money

Gossip Girl.

my Wednesday night favorites this season.

I live vicariously through these shows... sort of.

Ratatouille

is my new favorite movie.

We took the boy to see it yesterday afternoon and we
all loved it! Check it out, it's adorable!

Crimewave

is a funny ass movie (from the 80's!) that
I loved as a {cute and awkward-- my mom said
my perm made me look like Tiny Tim} mid-schooler.

I was recently looking for it and was thrilled
to find out it was written by Sam Raimi and everyone's
favorite brotherly duo, Joel and Ethan Coen...
the GENIUSES behind one of the greatest movies ever made.

anyhoo, if you feel like watching some slap-stick
hilarious-ness from the 80's, please check this
little gem out... you just might like it.
