Hey Everybody!

Long time, no blog!

Hope you're well!

I've been up to a few things...
some exciting, some not so much.
Eh, such is life.

As I mentioned a while back, I dropped my
camera and have been using a loner (a BRICK!)
digital for important stuff. I want a new one,
preferably a DSLR, but we'll see when THAT
happens. Need some cash money, yo.

Anyhoo, I've been taking pics with my
old pal, Holga. It's been too long and it's
really nice to have her back in my life.
Stay tuned for some new shots.

I got to visit with some great friends this
past weekend. Amanda, Michell, Cara and Lori.
It was a blast to catch up and just be a girl!
We had a great time, may post a few blurry
pics soon!

Been enjoying the heck out of this gal:

Lola is a sweet thang! We really love her!

Bombay and the chickens are still around,
raising hell and whatnot.

And most recently, I was lucky enough to get a
Lambretta of my very own! That's right, I will be
riding around the 505 this spring, summer
and fall. Mine is a LI 125 Series 3, like this:

I'm really excited!
Honk if you see me!

monday already?!

today is rainy and grey... i SO wanted to stay in
bed this morning...

oh well.

i did have a SUPERB weekend, though.

on friday night, we stayed home, had dion's pizza
and introduced angus to freaks and geeks and he
really enjoyed it!

saturday was a super busy day! we got to sleep
in, which was awesome, then headed over to
amerasia for some delicious dim sum. this is my
favorite thing to eat there:

after that, we headed up to the heights for angus's first
soccer game of the season... they lost, but played well.

and after that, we went to see watchmen and it
THOROUGHLY.KICKED.ASS. many asses, actually.
i (of course) was crushing on almost all of the characters,
especially silk spectre II

...

and here's a photo of one of the coolest 10 yr.olds, halloween 2008:
Photobucket
he CLEARLY loves the comics like his pops... cu-ute!

on sunday, we cleaned the house like nobody's business.

it took me 4 hours to clean the the bathroom from top
to bottom. then another 3 hours to do the living room,
top to bottom. i felt bad for craig, he did the entire
kitchen by himself. now, we're not the dirtiest people
in the world, but apparently not the cleanest either.
what? i HATE cleaning almost as much as i hate folding
the white loads of laundry! too many damn socks!! oh, i
was ranting for a sec, forgive me.

after cleaning pretty much all day long, we had dinner here:

it was sooo good.

all of it!

FRIDAY= good times.

hi kids, hope you're all well!

as always, i love the weekends...
so much to do and it's almost
already the end of the month which
means Halloween and soon after that,
Dia De Los Muertos... which translates
into lots of fun and activities. we plan
on going to a parade in the valley and
i'm going to take lots of pics with my
loverly holga camera! it's been too long...

this weekend i am going to make sugar skulls
and i'm pretty damn excited! mine won't be
edible though because i got all sorts of beads
and rhinestones and shit to decorate them.
AND they're way to sweet to eat anyway. i'll
post pics later next week.

another AWESOME thing we're doing is
attending a rally for barack obama and i am
thrilled. odds are it'll be super packed and
barack will be the size of an ant... i don't
care, i wouldn't miss it for anything!

well, i should get back to work and
to playing scramble (a word game/time
killer) on facebook.

Happy Wednesday

It's already Wednesday, can you believe it?

Anyhow, here's a little rundown of what
I've been up to lately... exciting. I know.

1. Had a really great time this weekend at my
first ever photo show. Basically 20 people
were chosen to display and possibly sell a
photo of choice at a bar Downtown. I was
just happy to hang my photo so imagine my
excitement when it sold almost immediately!
A lucky (+ nice!) guy is now the owner of
this, except REAL. 8x8 was the photo size:

I took pictures of it hanging with my little
tag info but they came out too dark. I may
post them anyway.

2. Watched a silly yet entertaining movie...
Wanted with good looking people, I might add.
Like this fella. He's short but very handsome.

3. Excited to visit D.C. again and my bff... of
course we're going to a show...Built to Spill who've
I've seen many a time but are always so. damn. good.

I suppose that's about it...anything exciting on your side?

Damn, It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta

~Geto Boys

Whew. I sure am happy it's the weekend!

Craig and I are having a loverly little
date night this evening and I'm so looking
forward to it. Not sure what we're doing,
don't really care, just excited to spend
an entire evening together! Naughtiness
is inevitable.

Tomorrow we are going to a mantanza at a
friend of Craig's and we're both really excited!
I've been to luau's before so I know they're
very similar, just super happy to be going to
a party designated to eating a slaughtered pig!
I'll be sure to post some pics if possible!

Sundays on Central

Today after Angus's soccer game we
headed over to Loyola's on Central...

for some delicious breakfast.

It's also near the Desert Sands Motel...

also seen in No Country For Old Men as the motel
in El Paso... I was hoping that I'd find Javier Bardem
behind this door:

No such luck.

Chicken-Heads of the World ~ UNITE!

Here are some sweet chicken shots that I'm
awfully proud of. Craig was chicken-sitting
for a friend, so I decided to help him feed
the girls. My favorite one is the blackie...
I think she's a vixen like myself.

FRIDAY... i love you.

Crazy busy week, yes it's been insane.

Craig and I had some delicious El Patio for
our dinner last night. We early bird-ed it and
it was sooo good. I had the combo which consists
of enchiladas. 1 relleno and 1 taco, beans + rice.
Craig had huevos rancheros for dinner and we
both left very full and happy. Later, we watched
(for the 3rd time!) American Gangster and loved
it... again. We were also going to watch another
film, I Am Trying to Break Your Heart: a film
about Wilco
, but we were too sleepy after having
a snack of muffalettas, balsamic vinegar chips, a
(LARGE) cinnamon roll and all that lying around is
pretty draining too. Anyhoo, we slept like some lil'
piggies, all comfy and fat and shit.

Anyhow, work is insanely busy, I should get back to
it, but I'll leave you with another Holga shot:

It's Friday, Yo!

It's been a long week and I'm happy it's the weekend!

Last night was nice... Craig and I watched a few movies,
Gone Baby Gone, which I highly recommend, and
Resident Evil:Extinction which was also pretty
entertaining, while having some Japanese take out.
It was a really mellow night of sitting around with
my baby and it was awesome!

I also picked up some more photos from my last roll
of Holga film... here are a few of them:

Happy Weekend!

Boy, do I love Fridays!

Here are a few things I'm looking forward to:

1. 'Weeds' tonight... I am in love with almost
all of the crazy characters.

2. Sleeping in... the sweet pug has kept me
up the last few nights with his human-like
snores and need to sleep between my legs,
as though I'm giving birth to him.

3. Develop my current roll of film on my
Holga, as I think/feel/hope there some
pretty good shots.

4. Although I don't really watch football,
I will endure the game to see Tom Brady
all sweaty and hot.

5. Along with the other superbowl goodies
like hotwings, hotdogs ( i LOVE hotdogs!)
and chile con carne, I will be making
homemade mac + cheese and I can't wait!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Black + White Holga

Here are some shots from my 3rd roll of film... the 2nd
roll of film wasn't very good at all, so I didn't even
bother posting any.

I really like the vintage look of the black and white film...
I think the photo of Bombay is my favorite in this batch!

It's Plastic...**

My Holga shots are in!

Trust me, I know they are not perfect and/or beautiful
at fisrt sight, but this is my fisrt roll of actual film in
years! And, there is no focusing in on your subject
with a Holga.. it can typically focus in on something
up to 2-3 ft. tops. This, I learned by trial and error...
8 of the 12 shots came out and maybe 4 are actually
good. Anyhoo, I'm very excited to take as many photos
as I possibly can with my cool toy!

(and nevermind my cropping skillzzzz...)

**...and I tried to Rock It.

check out this site for more Holga goodness...
I will be contributing there soon!
